The Site Rules

Like all places in society, this forum has rules which you are expected to follow. They are simple and few, and might even be viewed as strongly suggested warnings or something that might not seem serious, but trust me when I say they are.

1. Respect the other players. We're all here to have fun, and the only trolls we want to see are the in-character kind. Hmm...we don't actually have any of those...Wonder why?

2. No personal drama; this includes bringing problems with players onto the forums, starting fights out of character, and "pity me" posts. Such posts will be deleted. After three such posts, your account will be suspended. This rule applies to everyone.

3. Use proper grammar or some semblance thereof on the forums. It doesn't have to be perfect, but do try to give it your best effort. Storytellers are responsible for maintaining that standard, either by helping their players learn or editing annoying mistakes. ABSOLUTELY NO CHAT SPEAK! Speak English, not txt.

4. Please be mature about things in your posts and in game. Yes, this game deals with adult themes, such as violence, bigotry, and sexual innuendo (can't be too safe!) and may place characters in situations that are vastly different from the modern social norm, or even offensive to humanity as a collective. Consider yourself warned.

5. Try to play your character to the best of your ability. We aren't asking for perfection. However, the element of 'suspension of disbelief' is expected to keep the game afloat, and makes the descriptive part of gaming as fluid as possible.

6. Contact a Storyteller prior to attempting to make an account. New accounts will not be activated without this step. This is a security issue and will not be waived for any reason. More information about how to start an account is found in the joining section and your Storyteller's head.

Yeah, I know they look familiar to some of you, but they were good rules and if followed, should keep everything moving and people getting along.

Also, you should be warned that keeping updated on the rules is your responsibility. They may change as new issues arise and the situation warrants it. Only an Admin can post in this thread, so rule changes should be obvious. All rule changes and/or addendums will be posted as replies to this thread for your easy recognition of such changes.

There are a plethora of pictures used for the stories. What follows is a discussion of the rules for these pictures.

Character Pictures Rules:

~No recognizable character (Harry Potter, Sailor Moon, Voltron, My Little Ponies, etc.).
~No graphic nudity. Graphic is defined as genitalia and nipples. Please remember that the site is open to the public's viewing pleasure and keep things more or less PG or PG-13.
~No profanity. This goes for gestures as well as words. Again, please remember that the site is open to the public's viewing pleasure and keep things more or less PG or PG-13.
~No labels. Pictures should not have sidebars or character names.
~No watermarks that mar the picture. Watermarks like this are the artists’ way of declaring that the picture cannot be shared and we will respect this as a site.
~No larger or smaller than 150x200 pixels. In rare instances, other sizes may be acceptable. See Storyteller for more details.
~No .gif or animations as they bog down the site’s load time.
~No photographs or photo manipulations. Drawn or computer generated pictures only.
~Single subject pictures only.
~All pictures occurring in threads must be approved by the Storyteller.

Avatar Pictures Rules:

Pictures that do not meet the above criteria will be removed, either by the Storyteller or by the Primary Site Administrator. If the above criteria are not met, and the Storyteller does not correct it prior to the Primary Site Administrator discovering it, Fate will remove it and issue a warning to the player. After three such warnings the offending account may be banned and the Storyteller placed on probation. In rare instances where the offense is great, warnings may be suspended with and accounts banned immediately.
